Traffic Restrictions in Mallorca and Ibiza

On 12 August 2026, due to the solar eclipse, a large number of visitors are expected across the Balearic Islands. To ensure safety and maintain traffic flow, the Government of the Balearic Islands will implement traffic restrictions in various areas of Mallorca and Ibiza..

What should you know?

• Some roads and access points to beaches, viewpoints and other places of interest will be restricted.
• These measures will mainly affect private vehicles wishing to access these areas.
• Access to hospitals, airports and emergency services will remain guaranteed.

Our hotels will remain accessible. However, we recommend planning your journeys in advance, especially if you intend to visit any of the affected areas.

Playa de Palma (Mallorca):

• Between 08:00 and 12:00, only authorised vehicles will be allowed to enter.
• Guests with a reserved parking space must have the corresponding QR code.
• From 12:00 onwards, restrictions will become stricter, and the required permit will continue to be mandatory for vehicle access.
• Pedestrians, bicycles, motorcycles and mopeds do not require accreditation.
