Ses Salines Natural Park
The territory covered by this natural park is about 2,838 hectares of the old Ibiza salt flats, in the municipality of Sant Josep de sa Talaia, and the Formentera salt flats, plus 13,000 hectares of Es Freus, a strait between the two islands, made up of various passages separated by islets, about 6.3 km long.
It includes a representation of almost all the ecosystems found on the island of Ibiza, with special mention of those of the marshes. Among the fauna, the bird species stands out, especially the flamingos, which inhabit it all year round.
